Applicants to the NCH Internal Medicine Residency Program must meet the following criteria:

Eligible to receive training license in Florida (https://flboardofmedicine.gov/licensing/resident-physicians-interns-fellows-and-house-physicians/)

US Citizen or Permanent Resident, or eligible for J1 visa sponsorship. H1 visas will not be considered.

Medical school graduation date must be within 5 years of entry to training (for Jul 2024 starts, medical school graduation must be 2019 or later. Applicants with recent US GME experience (internal medicine fellowship training for instance) may be considered on a case by case basis.

Applicants must have passed on the first attempt USMLE step 1and 2 or COMLEX level 1 and 2 to be considered for an interview. In general, most interview offers will be extended to applicants scoring above these levels:

USMLE Step 1: 215

USMLE Step 2: 220

COMLEX Level 1: 500

COMLEX Level 2: 500
