Resident Wellness
Due to increasing burnout among physicians nationwide, the NCH IM Residency has created a Resident Wellness Committee. This resident run committee focuses on preventing burnout, identifying burnout and providing resources to treat burnout as well as self-care, peer socialization and resident mentor-ship.

Resident Wellness Committee
Free and confidential resources for mental and emotional health through the Employee Assistance Program provided by NCH. Services include counseling, legal issues and financial challenges.
Free food/snacks, resident environments stocked with healthy snacks.
Exercise.
NCH Briggs Wellness Center – $10 monthly fee; includes over 100 group fitness classes offered weekly at no additional cost to include, Pilates, Zumba, and more.
Events to decrease burnout.

Intern/Senior retreat.
Holiday/End of year celebrations.
Wellness Thursday’s - Yoga Sessions held by residents.
GME supported social gatherings and events.
